Evolve: Criticisms Against DLC Are Unfair

Recently, Turtle Rock Studios co-founder, Phil Robb, posted on the official Evolve community forums in response to criticism regarding the downloadable content options for the Evolve game. Robb addressed the Evolve community to quell concerns that Turtle Rock Studios is planning to roll out a bunch of day one DLC to sell separately. Robb’s response was well stated and written. I believe the criticisms against the DLC for Evolve in this case are a bit unfair.

Batman: Arkham Knight Prequel Comic is a Great Move

One of my favorite Batman comic book series, since I am not a big fan of the DC New 52 Universe, was actually the Batman: Arkham City miniseries. The limited series was written by Paul Dini, the lead scenario writer for Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, provided a good bridging story between the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City video games. DC Comics has now announced that there will release a new prequel Batman: Arkham Knight comic series that will depict events that occurred before the upcoming Arkham Knight game. This is a great move by DC Comics and Rocksteady to flesh out the world of the Arkham Trilogy and give fans a taste of what is in store for the hotly anticipated gaming experience.

Dying Light Should Not be Censored or Delayed

There is a rumor going around online that the upcoming zombie survival game, Dying Light, could be delayed in order to remove some scenes due to sensitivity regarding the recent terrorist attacks in Europe. The rumor came from Hardcore Gamer, and it sounds like it is far from confirmed. According to the rumor, the recent attacks that have taken place have caused concern among the developers that certain scenes in the game need to be changed and/or removed. Online gaming stores have new release dates for the game. Amazon France is listing the release date as March 31. The gaming store fnac has it listed for a February 27 release. The game was originally due out in Europe on January 30. I really hope the game will not be delayed. The game should not be delayed due to censorship.

Evolve: New CG Cinematic Intro Looks Fantastic

The wait is nearly over for Evolve, the impressive looking and hotly anticipated new game from Turtle Rock Studios. The online cooperative and competitive multiplayer shooter is due out in a few weeks. To raise anticipation, 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have released a new CG cinematic video for the game. The latest video happens to be Evolve’s opening CG cinematic, which depicts a group of monster hunters doing a deadly tango with the beast known as Goliath. Evolve’s videos have all been impressive, and this one is certainly no exception.
