China’s SAIC Motor, Alibaba to invest $160 million in Internet-connected cars

Alibaba group and Shanghai Automotive Group announced that jointly invested 1 billion yuan to establish Internet “car Fund”, and the formation of joint venture companies,
上汽集团与阿里巴巴集团今日共同宣布,将合资设立10亿元的“互联网汽车基金”,共同打造“跑在互联网上的汽车”(Car on the Internet)。该基金的成立将推进“互联网汽车”开发和运营平台建设,未来将是开放式的资本平台,吸纳更多互联网汽车参与者。这是继去年双方签署战略合作协议之后,迈出的实质性一步。
