Mobile Role Playing Game Final Fantasy Legends: Jiku no Suisho Launching This Week In Japan

A few months back, Square Enix revealed two new mobile role playing games part of the Final Fantasy series that would be released sometime this year on Japanese smartphones.

Today the Japanese publisher has confirmed that one of the two games, called Final Fantasy Legends: Jiku no Suisho, will be released in Japan this week, on February 12th. No news on a possible Western release have been confirmed but, considering Square Enix’s current focus on mobile games, there a good chance the game will be released in the West as well.

Final Fantasy Legends: Jiku no Suisho has been directed by Takashi Tokita and features time travelling as one of its theme. The game’s soundtrack has been composed by Naoshi Mizuta, who has worked on Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII soundtracks.

Final Fantasy Legends: Jiku no Suisho is only one of the new mobile Final Fantasy games releasing in Japan this year, as stated above. The other one will be called Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and it will be directed by Hisatoshi Hayakashi, director of one of the more popular mobile role playing games released recently, Brave Frontier. Just like Final Fantasy Legends: Jiku no Suisho, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius will be a free to play game.
