Arkham Knight was the most pre-ordered game on Amazon in January
Batman: Arkham Knight was the most pre-ordered game on Amazon.co.uk in January, the retailer has revealed. Dying Light came in second, no doubt as players prepared for its original January 28 release, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in third. Tom Clancy’s The Division and Halo 5: Guardians followed in fourth and fifth, with The Order: 1886, GTA 5 PC, Battlefield Hardline, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Uncharted 4 rounding out the top 10.
Despite last month’s beta, however, Evolve failed to crack the top 10, placing just outside at No.11.
“It’s clear to see customers are remaining loyal to their favourite franchises with Batman: Arkham Knight, The Witcher 3, Grand Theft Auto V and the redesigned Battlefield Hardline,” said Xavier Garambois, Vice President of EU Retail at Amazon. “It’s also great to see customers putting their faith into innovative new games like monster-hunter Evolve or crowd-funded Project CARS, which are set to do very well this year.”
Arkham Knight’s success is likely due to Amazon opening pre-orders for its exclusive Limited Edition last month. Take a look below for the top 20 pre-ordered games on Amazon in January 2015.
