Platinum Games Has A “Few” Things In The Works, CEO Confirms
Platinum Games, the studio behind many action games like the Bayonetta series, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and others, has a few things in the works, according to its President and CEO.
In a New Year’s Greeting Video, Tatsuya Minami reveals that the team is currently working on some projects they cannot talk about yet. One of these projects is most likely the Bayonetta related project that producer Akiko Kuroda spoke about some days ago. More details on the upcoming Xbox One exclusive Scalebound should also be revealed soon, considering it’s the only new Platinum Games project we actually know something about. You can check out the video by going at the end of this post.
The latest game released by the team is Bayonetta 2, released on Wii U back in October in North America and Europe. The game takes the Bayonetta formula and expands it vastly with new gameplay mechanics, like the Umbran Climax, new unique weapons, like the Kafka bow, and more. The game also features plenty of Nintendo inspired content, like the extra costumes that allow players to dress Bayonetta as Samus from Metroid, Peach from the Super Mario series, Fox from StarFox and more. The game is one of the best action games released in recent times and a must buy for all Wii U owners.
