Final Fantasy XV, the upcoming new entry of the series currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, has received a new trailer today.
The new trailer, which can be found at the end of this post, showcases one of the game’s cities, called Restarg, a city connected to the titan also shown during the trailer. According to director Hajime Tabata, the entire city is connected seamlessly, with players being able to take part in various events, sleep at hotels and more.
More details on Final Fantasy XV have also been confirmed today. Camping is going to be even more important than anticipated, since it will allow players to level and use buffs during battle. Eating food is also going to be important, as it will buff the party up, buffs that can be extended by sleeping. Not sleeping for more than three days is also going to impact the party’s battle performance, as they will be affected with a variety of status ailments.
Final Fantasy XV is also going to feature summoned monsters that can be fought and acquired by fulfilling special conditions. One of these summoned monsters will be included in the Episode Duscae demo.
Yesterday, the latest issue of Jump magazine revealed a new female character. The character, who’s apparently called Cindy, won’t play a big role in the game’s story but she will still be important from a gameplay point of view.
Final Fantasy XV is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A final release date for all regions has yet to be confirmed. The Episode Duscae playable demo will be included in all early copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, launching next year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
