Theatrhythm Dragon Quest, the new rhythm game currently in development for Nintendo 3DS, has received its first trailer today.

The new trailer, which can be found at the end of this post, showcases the game’s graphics and gameplay experience, which don’t seem to be all that different from Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call. Battle Music Stages are obviously going to be slightly different from previous games, sporting the first person view typical of the Dragon Quest series with inputs falling from top to bottom.

Theatrhythm Dragon Quest has been originally revealed last week. Unfortunately not much is currently known about the game, other than the fact that it will be released during March 2015 in Japan.

Following the release of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, Square Enix confirmed the company wished to expand the franchise with new titles based on other successful franchises. Even Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call included tracks from outside the Final Fantasy series, with songs from the SaGa games and Bravely Default being offered as DLC.

Theatrhythm Dragon Quest will be released during March 2015 in Japan on Nintendo 3DS. A Western release has yet to be confirmed at the time but we will keep you updated on the matter as soon as more comes in on it so stay tuned for all the latest news.
