Bungie.net recently updated the website with its first weekly update for Destiny for the new year of 2015. The latest update gives an idea for upcoming gameplay patches for the game that will be coming shortly. So, I would like to provide a breakdown of the update and some of my thoughts on what Bungie has in store for the future of the game.
In the latest issue of Game Informer (via GameSpot), video game developer Naughty Dog confirmed that there will in fact be a multiplayer campaign for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The news is not a huge surprise, but it comes as a nice, new reveal for the highly anticipated sequel. The franchise first incorporated a multiplayer campaign starting with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The game’s competitive multiplayer campaign was surprisingly effective. It will be great to see what Naughty Dog has in store for the next installment of the franchise with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Tribes. The most primitive form of society. Living today’s easy life,with the help of so much technology, commodities and medicine, it’s almost impossible to imagine how tribes lived and how they managed to survive. The answer: they stuck together and did everything for the good of the tribe. That is one thing we lack in modern society, a greater sense of camaraderie, when your well-being depends on the well-being of the others around you.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the upcoming Dragon Ball game launching next month in all regions on consoles and PC, has received some new videos.
Nintendo recently released an extended gameplay trailer for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, a new upcoming touch-play platform game for the Kirby franchise. One exciting new feature is that the game will be compatible with Nintendo’s Amiibo figurine line. The Amiibo figurines of Kirby, Meta Knight and King Dedede are all compatible with the game. The game will allow players to scan the Amiibo figurines once per day to get a special power-up for one stage. Kirby can gain an unlimited Star Dash Power. Meta Knight gives Kirby an attack bonus with a Meta Knight Mask. King Dedede gets grants Kirby a defense bonus and additional hitpoints through a gift hat. The game offers additional compatibility between the Amiibos and first-party Wii U games– a great feature. However, Nintendo is still only scratching the surface of the potential Amiibos can offer. Nintendo should be offering much more through the Amiibo line.
The 1990s was a decade of emergence for X-Men as a major multi-media franchise player. The characters had a huge hit show on FOX TV. The toys were were everywhere, and there were many more awesome video games of Marvel’s merry band of mutants. Unfortunately, in the last 10 years, the video games branded around the X-Men have been quite poor. For this list, I will take a look back at my favorite video games based on the X-Men franchise. In the interest of a streamlined list, I am focusing strictly on X-Men branded games and not crossover-branded games, or Wolverine only games.
