Mortal Kombat X: Faction Wars Sounds Like a Great Progression for the Fighting Franchise

NetherRealm Studios recently announced some new details regarding Mortal Kombat X. The release of the highly anticipated sequel is nearly here, some of the new features for the fighting game sound intriguing. However, I am most excited about the Faction Wars, the coolest new aspect about the game. This new feature allows players choose from certain factions for the Mortal Kombat experience and appears to be a great way to progress the gameplay of the fighting franchise.

J-Stars Victory VS: US Release is a Dream Come True

Bandai Namco Games recently announced that the fighting video game, J-Stars Victory VS, will receive an English release in the US and North America later this year. Although the dialogue will remain in Japanese, the game will be translated into English with subtitles, which is tremendous. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first ever video game in the Jump Superstars video game franchise to receive an English, US release. The game looks like it will be the perfect summer follow up to the release of Dragon Ball Xenoverse XV later this month and is a dream come true.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: Siberia is an Exciting New Location

Game Informer recently released some new coverage and information on the upcoming sequel to the hit reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise, Rise of the Tomb Raider. The new screenshots and information that were revealed and teased look very exciting. One of the most exciting new aspects of the game is the location. In the new game, Lara Croft will travel to the icy wilderness of Siberia. Siberia is a great new location for the game and it provides something that has not really been explored in the more modern Tomb Raider games.

Amiibo Variants: Shrewd But Smart Business Move by Nintendo

Some news recently leaked online (via NeoGAF) regarding the potential upcoming release of possible variant editions for the Nintendo Amiibo line. Basically, some images and product certificates were leaked online for silver and gold editions of Mario Amiibo figurines for the Super Mario wave of Amiibo figures. This is the new wave of figures produced for the Mario Party 10 video game that is due out next month. The release plan or availability for the figures are unclear. It is unknown whether these will be store exclusives, limited edition chase figures or something else. The production of variant Amiibo such as this is a shrewd move on the part of Nintendo, and a smart one as well.
