EA Sports UFC: Improvements for Future Installments

EA Sports did quite well with its first foray into the global MMA juggernaut, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, with EA Sports UFC. Finally, EA Sports partnered with the UFC to make a proper MMA game. EA Sports arrogantly believed it could go its own way with EA Sports MMA. The game was all right, but it did not contain enough depth that fans had come to expect. Overall, EA Sports UFC appeared to be a success. The game has sold over a million copies. Over the last several months, EA Sports did a good job of strengthening the roster with free content updates that added numerous UFC fighters to the roster. EA Sports recently announced that the seventh content update for EA Sports UFC will be the last one for the game, and the company will focus on the future of the franchise next. Here are some improvements I would like to see in future EA Sports UFC games.

Hyrule Warriors Experiment Pays Off Well for Nintendo

Sometimes, when a developer takes an existing and beloved intellectual property and tries something new or different, there is potential to perturb and greatly upset longtime fans. Nintendo recently tried something a bit experimental for The Legend of Zelda franchise with Hyrule Warriors. Hyrule Warriors is a recent hack-and-slash action game, done in the style of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series. The game is set in The Legend of Zelda world and features Zelda characters, but the gameplay is executed in Dynasty Warriors fashion. With the announcement that the game has shipped one million copies worldwide (via Famitsu), it appears Nintendo’s experiment with Hyrule Warriors paid off nicely. Now Nintendo has yet another hit to add to the accolades of the Wii U for 2015.

EA Sports UFC: Content Update 7 Breakdown

First up is women’s bantamweight fighter Holly Holm. Her addition is crazy and interesting because she has yet to actually step foot inside the Octagon. Holm is currently under a UFC contract, and she is slated to make her debut against Raquel Pennington at UFC 184 next month. Holm is undefeated in MMA at 7-0, with six knockouts and one win by decision. However, she is most known as a successful championship boxer. Holm’s striking skills have made her a potentially compelling match-up for champion Ronda Rousey. While Holm has not fought in the UFC yet, it is great to get another female fighter for the roster, especially one of Holm’s caliber.

You Won’t Believe The Colors Hidden In These 25 Alcoholic Beverages

Beer is probably the first alcoholic beverage most of us ever tasted. As kids, we might have found it to be bitter and fizzy, but we still loved it, because drinking it made us feel like grown ups. With time and as we grow older we start to develop our taste and preferences for alcohol. Some like strong spirits that burn you all the way down while other prefer softer and sweeter cocktails. But have you ever considered choosing a beverage by its look?
